Assistant Salon Manager
About The Position
Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping stylists succeed. You will help create a positive work environment, motivate and encourage the team, and deliver exceptional customer service while continuing to work behind the chair. The position may suit a stylist growing into management or seeking additional responsibility. Prior management experience is not always required; the role can provide a pathway to Salon Manager or other leadership positions. Management and operations training is provided through Great Clips University (GCU), with ongoing support and instruction from salon management. The hiring franchise operates 22 salons across New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
- Strong technical haircutting skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
- Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
- Organization and flexibility.
- Interest in growing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
