About The Position

Yellowhammer Salon Group operates SmartStyle Hair Salons inside Walmart stores. The Assistant Salon Leader assists the Salon Leader in achieving salon goals, oversees daily operations, and helps ensure exceptional service delivery. The role provides a range of hair services, supports client satisfaction, and contributes to the salon’s overall success. The salon offers access to Walmart customer traffic, ongoing technical training, and leadership support. Compensation includes commission opportunities and eligibility for weekly bonuses.

Requirements

Valid and current cosmetology license.
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills to engage clients and staff.
Passion for the beauty industry and for staying updated on trends and techniques.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and consistently perform quality services.
Team player with strong leadership qualities.
Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace while demonstrating good judgment and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with the salon team, peers, supervisors, Walmart staff, vendors, and customers.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to work alone in the salon, as the position may require.

Lead through the YSG vision and mission statement.
Assist the Salon Leader in achieving salon goals.
