About The Position

Magic Memories is hiring an Assistant Retail Photo Operations Manager for its retail photography operation at the Jelly Belly attraction in Fairfield, California. The role supports a high-volume souvenir photography business, creating memorable guest experiences through photography and retail service. The assistant manager helps lead the retail team, meet sales goals, oversee day-to-day operations, and serves as lead manager when the Retail Photography Manager is absent. The position includes floor supervision, administrative duties, staff training and development, and maintaining a focus on guest service and financial results. The role also involves taking photos and helping guests create printed and digital souvenir products. The schedule is flexible, with shifts available any day of the week or weekend during operating hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One year of people-management experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to support teams, develop culture, coach, and manage ongoing performance.
Ability and drive to contribute in a hands-on role and demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and KPIs in a busy retail environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, management, and cross-functional team members.
Professional communication skills and appearance.
Ability to support operations seven days a week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Two years of previous guest-service experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or retail; preferred but not required.
Experience in digital photography.

Responsibilities
