About The Position

SSP America is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Manager for The Tavern. Although the position is advertised for The Tavern, the manager may be assigned to any SSP America restaurant with an open Assistant Restaurant Manager position, with no change in pay. SSP America operates more than 20 locations within Sky Harbor Airport, including full-service restaurants, quick-service restaurants, coffee shops, and grab-and-go locations. The role leads and supports front-of-house and back-of-house team members, maintains guest service and brand standards, oversees merchandising and inventory, organizes daily work, evaluates performance, and ensures compliance with company policies and health and sanitation standards. The position pays $65,000–$75,000 per year, with opportunities for quarterly bonuses and an annual super bonus. SSP America offers a full benefits package and career advancement opportunities.

Requirements

At least 2 years of restaurant manager experience in a full-service restaurant with a bar.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of Kitchen Manager experience in a professional restaurant or production kitchen.

Responsibilities

Train, develop, and communicate with front-of-house and back-of-house team members.
Implement and maintain guest service standards and brand specifications.
Maintain merchandising, display presentation, and signing standards, and monitor inventory levels.
Develop, plan, and assign daily goals, tasks, and team member assignments.
Manage, supervise, and evaluate team member performance; follow up on assigned tasks and goals and provide feedback, including disciplinary action.
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and state health and sanitation standards.
