About The Position

The Assistant Property Manager helps maintain multifamily communities to a market-ready standard and provide a high level of service. The role supports the Property Manager in overseeing property operations and finances, building and motivating a high-performing on-site team, and improving resident satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. This floating position involves travel between properties, including travel outside between buildings in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or technical or vocational school education.
At least 3 years of property management experience.
At least 1 year of management experience.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage a team.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Help ensure the smooth operation of the community in a fast-paced environment.
Assist the Property Manager with property operations, including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
Help provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects.
Complete lease and renewal paperwork in accordance with company standards.
Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.
Model and support the Cushman & Wakefield mission.
Assist with day-to-day operations of the on-site team and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
Interview, hire, and coach staff as needed to maintain an effective on-site team.
Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.
Promote a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
Manage and maintain community budgets and finances.
Work with leasing staff to meet leasing and marketing goals.
Identify leasing opportunities among staff and set goals to improve individual performance.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
