Under the direction of the Program Director, assist in planning and managing operations and staff within the Youth On Fire program in Cambridge, MA. This role involves supervising direct care supervisors and their staff, providing guidance for employee development and productivity, and participating in staff selection, termination, and performance evaluations. The Assistant Program Director will also promote a positive work environment, manage volunteer and intern hiring, maintain community partnerships, oversee HMIS data quality control, and assist with the Food & Nutrition Program. A small case management caseload is also part of the role, along with assisting in the review and implementation of program policies and procedures, fostering teamwork, and promoting quality programs and positive client outcomes. The position requires overseeing client service, education, and treatment plans, coordinating work assignments, managing client behaviors, and participating in crisis intervention. Additionally, the role involves assisting in budget development and monitoring, representing the program in meetings in the Program Director's absence, and maintaining effective working relationships with various stakeholders. The Assistant Program Director will also help assess and develop program services, coordinate and integrate services, plan improvements based on client needs, participate in the intake and discharge process, maintain program census, and may participate in licensing and accreditation processes. Overseeing notifications and paperwork for relevant agencies, reviewing critical incident reports, and developing program reports are also key responsibilities.
