About The Position

Power Cross Ministries is seeking a passionate, driven, and highly organized Christian leader to serve as Assistant Program Director for Middle & High School Athletics in Statesville and Salisbury, North Carolina. Working directly alongside the Program Director, this person will help develop young men spiritually, academically, and athletically, with an emphasis on football development, college recruiting, and leadership. The position offers the opportunity to grow into expanded leadership responsibilities as the ministry grows.

Requirements

• Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for serving young men.
• Experience in football coaching, training, or athlete development.
• Knowledge of college recruiting and athletic scholarship opportunities.
• Exceptional organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends and travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school or collegiate coaching experience.
• Recruiting experience.
• Previous work mentoring underserved youth.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with young men, model Christ-centered leadership, and participate in daily discipleship.
• Assist with year-round speed, strength, position-specific training, film study, and athlete development.
• Coordinate recruiting strategies, camps, showcases, college coach relationships, highlight films, and scholarship opportunities.
• Monitor academic accountability, support NCAA eligibility, and guide athletes through college recruiting and the transition process.
• Maintain organized athlete records, recruiting databases, schedules, and communication with coaches, schools, and families.
• Attend recruiting events, camps, and showcases, including most weekends during peak recruiting seasons.
