About The Position

The Yale School of Medicine Physician Associate Program invites applications for a full-time, non-tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment is in the Section of General Internal Medicine, PA Program, at the Yale School of Medicine. The position focuses on innovation and delivery of the pre-clinical curriculum and includes teaching in both the pre-clinical and clinical phases of the program. In-person teaching is required in New Haven, Connecticut. Additional responsibilities include student assessment, remediation, advisement, scholarship, service, and 20% clinical practice. Faculty collaboratively participate in admissions, strategic planning, curriculum development, and continuous curriculum review and evaluation in support of accreditation standards. Requirements

Master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program or a related medical discipline, such as an MD or DO.
At least 2 years of experience educating PA students as a faculty member or clinical preceptor.
At least 3 years of clinical experience as a practicing PA.
Current NCCPA certification or certification by an ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board.
Connecticut state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong interest in delivering an experiential, student-focused curriculum.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of experience as a full-time clinician.
Demonstrated effective teaching experience in a classroom and/or clinical setting.

Responsibilities
