About The Position
Spelman College seeks to hire an Assistant Professor in Psychology. The college is a premier institution for women of African descent. The position requires a candidate whose work aligns with Spelman’s mission and strategic plan in areas such as teaching, scholarship, service, and advising/mentorship.
Requirements
- Letter of interest that identifies the position sought
- Curriculum vitae (with contact information)
- A statement of teaching philosophy (no more than 2 pages)
- Statement of current and future research experiences and interests (no more than 3 pages)
- A statement of diversity discussing how your work aligns with Spelman’s mission and strategic plan in one or more of the four areas: Teaching, Scholarship, Service, Advising and Mentorship
- Copies of official undergraduate and graduate transcripts
- Three (3) letters of recommendation should be sent directly from the referee or dossier by December 1, 2026
