About The Position
The Department of World Language Studies at Indiana University South Bend is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Spanish with a specialization in Latin American Literature or Spanish Applied Linguistics. The position begins August 1, 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, scholarship, and service. The typical workload includes 12 credit hours per semester (four courses), with one course reassigned time for scholarly and creative activities. The candidate will teach three courses per semester, contribute to departmental service, and maintain an active scholarship program. Teaching may include online and non-standard hours. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence is required for tenure.
