About The Position
The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is experiencing a period of expansion and is seeking exceptional candidates to join the faculty. Requirements
- Completed a US approved residency in Anesthesiology or obtained equivalent training and certification.
- Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology is required.
- Ability to anesthetize older children is helpful.
Nice To Haves
- Research experience is highly desirable.
- Limited skills in regional anesthesia.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of cases including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal cases, general vascular, and kidney transplants.
- Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs.
- Perform cases independently if required.
- Participate in the academic activities of the department including teaching and mentoring trainees.
- Participate in departmental conferences and faculty meetings.
