About The Position
The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is expanding and seeking exceptional candidates to join its faculty. Requirements
- Completion of a US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
- Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology (equivalence to board certification can be determined on a case-by-case basis).
- Comfort performing various cases (orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal cases, general vascular, and kidney transplants).
- Comfort supervising residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs.
- Comfort performing cases independently if required.
- Ability to participate in academic activities, including teaching and mentoring trainees.
- Ability to participate in departmental conferences and faculty meetings.
Nice To Haves
- Limited skills in regional anesthesia.
- Ability to anesthetize older children.
