About The Position

The Department of Accounting & Finance invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in Accounting at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2027. Responsibilities for the person appointed to this position will include: Effective teaching and mentoring of students as they progress through their academic career. Teaching responsibilities for this position will be fulfilled primarily at our Turlock campus. A record of scholarship that will meet AACSB Scholarly Academic standards. Service to the Department of Accounting and Finance, the College of Business Administration, and the University. This is an academic year appointment. However, opportunities may exist for an additional Summer Session appointment.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or a related field from an AACSB-accredited doctoral institution at the time of appointment.

Nice To Haves

Ability and experience to teach a variety of accounting courses, especially in Intermediate Accounting.
An interest in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence and/or Data Analytics.
Professional certifications and/or relevant industry experience.
Commitment to conducting meaningful research, with demonstrated potential to publish in respected, peer-reviewed accounting journals.
Evidence of (or potential for) successful and innovative teaching experiences at the undergraduate level.
A commitment to support a diverse student body with a variety of ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
