This is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position starting Fall 2027 in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Department/School of Psychology. The anticipated hiring range is $74,652 - $89,772 per year.

Requirements

  • A completed 3-year Master’s or a completed Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology, or a doctorate degree in psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Current CA credentialing/licensing as a School Psychologist, Psychologist, or Licensed Educational Psychologist (or intention to obtain it for doctorate degree holders).
  • Three years of professional work experience as a School Psychologist in preK-12 schools (for Master's or Ed.S. degree holders).
  • Experience in delivering undergraduate/graduate instruction or professional development.
  • A record and/or plan for research and/or scholarly activities.
  • All requirements for conferral of the doctorate degree must be met no later than the start date of the position (for those nearing completion).
  • Candidate must have achieved credentialing/licensure by the end of the third year to continue employment (for doctorate degree holders).
  • All work must be performed within the State of California.
  • Faculty assignments include in-person duties that require an on-campus presence.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Train and supervise school psychology graduate students.
  • Develop a successful program of research or scholarly activity.

  • Support the administrative and advising needs of the School Psychology program.
  • Join a team of faculty and staff that coordinates the School Psychology program, with opportunities for developing program leadership.
  • Use effective, student-centered practices that support the learning and success of all students.
