The position requires a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or a related field by the appointment date. Experience in couples or relationship-focused therapy is strongly preferred. The role involves teaching undergraduate and master's level courses, including core responsibilities in Family Processes and clinical supervision for master's students training to become California marriage and family therapists. Additional teaching may include graduate courses on topics like PTSD/trauma, anxiety disorders, and discrimination/mental-health disparities, as well as undergraduate courses. Successful candidates will be scientist-practitioners who integrate evidence-based practice into their teaching, supervision, practice, and scholarship, with the potential to mentor students in research.
