About The Position

Park University invites applications for a Full-Time tenure track Assistant Professor position starting in August 1, 2027. The successful candidate will primarily teach in-person, on-campus courses within Park University's Information Systems and Business Analytics programs. Our dynamic business analytics curriculum includes coursework in information systems, data mining, data visualization, predictive analytics, and digital marketing analytics. Students engage in hands-on, applied learning experiences that incorporate statistical analysis, programming, and data visualization tools to solve real-world business challenges.

Requirements

Ph.D. or D.B.A (ABD or master’s degree considered) in business with a focus on Business Analytics including Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Data Science or a closely related field from a regionally accredited university.
Master’s degree with industry experience may be considered
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and statistical software.
Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Nice To Haves

Academic and/ or industry experience in: database systems
data collection from multiple sources, including APIs.
Business Analytics
Experience teaching online courses
Expertise in DevOps, data pipeline design, and cloud computing platforms, such as AWS.

Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities will be aligned with the candidate’s academic background and professional expertise.
In addition to face-to-face instruction, the teaching load may include online courses.
Opportunities to develop and enhance online course offerings may also be available.
The standard teaching assignment is four courses per semester.
