The University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking to enhance the prominence of its Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering (CECE) Department. The department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering, with an ABET-accredited undergraduate degree. The Transportation Science and Technology program at UCF is highly ranked, both nationally and globally. The CECE department faculty are engaged in diverse and successful research programs. UCF is a significant player in transportation in Florida and will be home to the new Florida Transportation Research Institute (FTRI). To support these initiatives, UCF is inviting applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-earning position at the Assistant Professor level, or a tenured Associate Professor or Professor level, in Transportation Engineering Systems within the Civil Engineering program. The anticipated start date is August 8, 2027. The selected candidate is expected to have a demonstrated record of, or clear potential for, creative and independent research that leads to strong extramural funding and national/international recognition. Responsibilities include training postdoctoral scholars, serving as the primary advisor for graduate students, and teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering.
