About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology at the University of Washington is seeking to hire a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor without tenure by reason of funding (WOT), on the Clinician-Scholar track. The position is full-time with a twelve-month appointment. Assistant Professors will have a 3-year renewable term, while Associate and Full Professors will hold indefinite appointments. All faculty on this track are expected to engage in service, teaching, and research. The department is a large affiliate of Seattle Children's Hospital and Seattle Children's Research Institute, with faculty located at various institutions. The Division of Neonatology focuses on neonatal neuroprotection/neuroscience, simulation as an educational tool, and global neonatal-perinatal health. The position offers opportunities to participate in clinical care, education, and scholarship at an outstanding academic center. The Seattle-Tacoma/South Puget Sound region is highlighted as a desirable location with numerous recreational and cultural opportunities.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
  • Board certified or eligible (or foreign equivalent) in Neonatology or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
  • For H-1B visa sponsorship: graduates of foreign medical schools must show successful completion of all 3 steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed a US-accredited pediatric neonatology residency.
  • Completed a pediatric neonatology fellowship program.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
