About The Position

Heritage Montessori-Newport Mesa is hiring an Assistant Primary Teacher in Costa Mesa, California. The Assistant Teacher supports implementation of age-appropriate curriculum, prepares and organizes learning materials, and supervises children during activities, meals, and naptime to help maintain a safe, positive learning environment. The role also helps lead learning activities that promote children’s development, monitors their progress, and contributes to a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The school describes a supportive work environment and offers education incentives and career development programs to help educators build their careers. The stated pay range is $17.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
12 Child Development Units, required by the State of California.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and tablet.
Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with toddler and preschool students.
