About The Position

Montessori Country Day School is seeking an Assistant Primary Teacher to help implement age-appropriate curriculum and create a safe, positive learning environment. The teacher assists with preparing and organizing learning materials and supervises children during activities, meals, and naptime. The role also involves supporting children’s development and growth, monitoring their progress, and fostering a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The school offers educators a supportive environment and resources to do their work, along with education incentives and career development programs. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with toddlers and preschool students.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and tablet.
12 Child Development Units.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Patience, a nurturing attitude, and a sincere interest in the well-being and development of young learners.
