About The Position

Department: Marketing and Communications Student Employment Type: Federal Work-Study Responsibilities: Ability to capture professional quality photography independently at photo assignments. Contribute to and execute the creative direction and vision of photography initiatives. Complete postproduction photo editing with minimal supervision. Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment during marketing photo sessions Participate in Quinnipiac Productions Training (week before each semester) Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Some education in photography and a working knowledge of the exposure triangle Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Camera Raw, Lightroom, etc.) Ability to write captions using AP Style Strong storytelling and photo editing skills. Ability to take feedback with a desire and passion to learn and improve. Self-motivated and eager to take an idea or task and run with it. Excellent communicator Strong time management skills Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds Must have valid Driver’s License Must be able to carry 50 lbs Hours of Position: At least 10 hours a week scheduled per week (up to 15 hours a week for undergraduate students or 20 hours a week for graduate students) Some nights and weekends Required Documents for Application: Resume and link to a portfolio or examples of your best photos (with an emphasis on event coverage and candid photos of people) Instructions to Applicants: Click Apply at the top of the page.
