About The Position

This is a student employment position for the Jewish Life Student Engagement Lead within the DCGE Student department. The role involves proactive student outreach to foster a sense of belonging and increase participation in diverse activities. The lead will plan and deliver at least one high-impact event each week, focusing on student connection, and will represent the Peter C. Hereld House at high-visibility university events. Additionally, the position requires serving as the primary point of contact and host during after-hours events to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with the student body to foster a sense of belonging and increase participation in diverse activities.
  • Plan and deliver at least one high-impact event each week (evenings or weekends) focused on student connection.
  • Represent the Peter C. Hereld House at high-visibility university events, such as Admissions Open House and Admitted Students’ Day.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and host during after-hours events to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all attendees.
