About The Position

The Occupational Therapy Department is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the Academic Year 26/27. Selected candidates will support students and faculty in various areas including Anatomy & Kinesiology, Sensory Integration & Neurorehab, Assistive Technology, OT Assessment/Intervention in Children & Youth, and administrative duties/scholarly endeavors. The primary role may shift based on departmental needs throughout the academic year.

Requirements

  • Completed coursework in Occupational Therapy at 300 level or above.
  • Student must have reliable transportation to the North Haven Campus.
  • Strong ability to assume professional position of mentorship on behalf of undergraduate OT students.
  • Expressed desire to actively partake in the teaching/learning process on behalf of student success and/or the pursuit of research and other scholarly endeavors.
  • Strong ability to complete faculty-assigned tasks given distant supervision in a timely fashion.
  • Lifting up to 20lbs as necessary (anatomy lab).

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated engagement in teaching/learning (e.g., tutoring) and/or scholarship is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support students and faculty in the area of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
  • Support students and faculty in the area of Sensory Integration & Neurorehab.
  • Support students and faculty in the areas of Assistive Technology.
  • Support students and faculty in the areas of OT Assessment/Intervention in Children & Youth.
  • Support the department with administrative duties and scholarly endeavors.
