About The Position

The Assistant Pantry Cook assists with preparing and presenting fresh, high-quality pantry, garde manger, and cold food items to create memorable guest dining experiences at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beachfront Resort. The role involves preparing ingredients according to recipes and quality standards, plating dishes consistently, and maintaining clean, stocked, and sanitary food-service stations while following food-handling, storage, safety, and regulatory protocols. The position requires open availability for AM and PM shifts, five shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Open scheduling availability for AM and PM shifts, five shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of pantry or prep cook experience in a high-volume, full-operation restaurant setting.
• Ability to prepare pantry, garde manger, and cold food offerings to elevate the guest dining experience.
• Ability to meet precise plating and presentation standards and maintain consistency across dishes.
• Advanced knife skills for efficient, high-quality, accurate food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cold ingredient preparation for soups, sauces, salads, and other kitchen items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Arrange and plate dishes according to quality and presentation standards.
• Keep designated food-service stations stocked, clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Follow proper food-handling, storage, and safety protocols.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
