About The Position

The LSU School of Architecture seeks applicants for a full-time, nine-month, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with expertise in advanced architectural design. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of design practice, teaching, and/or research in building and architectural design. The candidate is expected to teach graduate and undergraduate design studios and lecture/seminar courses in their area of expertise. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues within LSU in general and the College of Art and Design in particular through research, teaching, program development, and governance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated record of design practice, teaching, and/or research in building and architectural design.
  • Evidence of, or the potential for, teaching effectiveness, scholarship, innovative practice, communications skills, and collegiality.
  • Master of Architecture degree, or an equivalent degree in architecture or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach graduate and undergraduate design studios.
  • Teach lecture/seminar courses in their area of expertise.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within LSU and the College of Art and Design through research, teaching, program development, and governance.
