Assistant Nurse Manager
About The Position
Under the direction of the nurse manager or another nursing leader, the Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for effectively implementing the hospital’s and nursing department’s philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures, and for their impact on patient care in the department. The role is in the Intensive Care Unit Medical 4NW at Dearborn Hospital. The CCU treats patients with cardiac, renal, pulmonary, and endocrine disorders, infectious diseases, and surgical needs; it also provides CRRT and hypothermia treatment for post-cardiac-arrest patients. The unit’s interdisciplinary team includes Registered Nurses and Nursing Assistants, and team members complete hospital, nursing, and unit-specific orientation and competencies. The position is full-time, with 40 scheduled hours per week. The shift is evenings, 2:00 p.m. to midnight, on variable days and variable weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- Two years of clinical experience in critical care.
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
