Assistant Nurse Manager
About The Position
The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Cath Lab at Paoli Hospital works alongside the Nurse Manager to support safe, high-quality patient care and lead an interdisciplinary team. The role provides ongoing feedback to staff, promotes and participates in departmental goals, and coordinates staffing needs and schedules. The Assistant Nurse Manager also collaborates with the Nurse Manager and other team members to interview and select staff. The position offers opportunities to participate in hospital and system-wide nursing committees, evidence-based research projects, and staff precepting. Employees are encouraged to attend MLH Education & Development classes and receive career development through performance appraisals and one-to-one communication with their manager.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN or another related bachelor's degree required.
- PA RN license or a multistate license verified in an approved state through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
- Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
Nice To Haves
- Three to five years of experience working in a Cath Lab; nursing experience preferred.
- Prior charge nurse or other leadership experience preferred.
- MSN or another related master's degree preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area desired.
Responsibilities
