About The Position

U-Haul is hiring an Assistant Moving Center Manager to help manage the day-to-day operations of its center and support customers as part of a team. The assistant manager may run center operations in the General Manager’s absence, make operational decisions, and assign work to team members. The position also includes hands-on duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers, along with ongoing training through U-Haul University. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Run daily operations of the center in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to projects.
Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
