About The Position

Golden Nozzle Car Wash is seeking a hands-on, motivated Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of a high-volume car wash facility. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Site Manager to maximize site performance, develop team members, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. The position may lead shifts and oversee operations when the Site Manager is absent.

The role supports staffing, scheduling, coaching, and performance feedback; facility and equipment cleanliness, safety, and operation; workflow and vehicle throughput; customer service; sales initiatives and membership growth; inventory and supply ordering; safety and regulatory compliance; operational reporting and performance metrics; and site goals and business initiatives.

This role requires open availability for operational needs, including the ability to work up to 50 hours per week and additional hours as needed, and at least one weekend day. Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, and holding up to 50 pounds; working outdoors in temperatures from -10°F to 100°F; and standing, walking, and moving around vehicles for extended periods.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work up to 50 hours per week, with additional hours as business needs require.
• Flexible availability to cover shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
• Required to work at least one weekend day.
• Open availability based on the operational needs of Golden Nozzle.
• Ability to lift, carry, and hold up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 100°F.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around vehicles for extended periods.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Customer-first mindset and commitment to exceptional service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic operational software systems.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory or leadership experience; car wash, automotive, retail, or service-industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and support a high-performing team.
• Basic knowledge of car wash equipment, maintenance practices, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily site operations, including staffing support, scheduling assistance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Help ensure the facility, equipment, and grounds are clean, safe, and fully operational.
• Support workflow and vehicle-throughput improvements to minimize wait times and enhance customer experience.
• Address customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with sales initiatives and membership growth strategies to drive revenue and customer retention.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering and restocking of chemicals, parts, and operational supplies.
• Enforce company safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards.
• Support review of operational reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to improve site performance.
• Partner with the Site Manager to execute site-specific goals and business initiatives.
• Help resolve employee and customer concerns to maintain a positive, productive environment.
• Lead shifts and oversee operations in the Site Manager’s absence when needed.
• Help maintain the physical condition, safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of store facilities.
