About The Position

The Car Wash Assistant Manager supports the Site Manager and functions as the manager in charge when the Site Manager is unavailable. The role includes leading and training teammates, supporting day-to-day car wash operations, managing scheduling and communications, and helping maintain equipment and procedures. The position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment and requires minimal supervision.

Requirements

At least three years of retail experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or management role.
Leadership and communication skills, including active listening.
Team-building experience.
Strong sales and customer service skills.
Ability to anticipate customer needs.
Proficient computer skills.
Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
Ability to perform the job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and OSHA safety guidelines.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma plus 6 months to 1 year of retail and management work experience preferred.
Supervisory experience in a Big Box environment, auto industry, car wash, or lube store is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Function as the manager in charge when the Site Manager is unavailable.
Order and stock vending items.
Train new hires and teammates on opening and closing checklists, proper loading techniques, and Fast Pass sales techniques.
Respond professionally and promptly to voicemails and emails.
Create an effective schedule.
Operate and clean the car wash vacuum system, including pressure washing the system.
Support the Site Manager during monthly team meetings.
Assist with on-site Supervisor Courses.
Supervise teammates completing PM and assess whether further training is needed.
Complete the GSR Daily Breakdown.
