About The Position

The Car Wash Assistant Manager supports the Site Manager and acts as the manager in charge when the Site Manager is unavailable. The role oversees training, scheduling, sales practices, vending inventory, equipment upkeep, and teammate performance in an outdoor car wash environment. The position requires working safely in accordance with standard operating procedures, OSHA guidelines, and required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

Three or more years of retail experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or management role.
Leadership and communication skills, including active listening.
Experience with team building.
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Ability to anticipate customer needs.
Proficient computer skills.
Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Ability to work safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and OSHA safety guidelines, using required personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing and walking frequently; using hands and reaching; climbing or balancing; stopping, crouching, and kneeling; working in damp and humid conditions and outdoors in variable weather; and regularly lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma plus 6 months to 1 year of retail and management work experience is preferred.
Supervisory experience in a Big Box environment, auto industry, car wash, or lube store is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Act as the manager in charge when the Site Manager is unavailable.
Order and stock vending items.
Train new hires, including on opening and closing checklists and proper loading techniques.
Train the team on Fast Pass sales techniques.
Respond professionally and promptly to voicemails and emails.
Create an effective schedule.
Maintain knowledge of car wash vacuum system operation and clean the system by pressure washing it.
Support the Site Manager during monthly team meetings.
Assist with on-site Supervisor Courses.
Supervise teammates completing PM and assess whether further training is needed.
Complete the GSR Daily Breakdown.
