About The Position

Braum’s Assistant Managers execute the company’s brand strategy and promote its vision, mission, and values to deliver a strong customer experience and maximize sales. They help the team achieve unit goals by recognizing and strengthening employees’ contributions. The role oversees daily operations across the food service function, grocery market, and fountain sales, and shares responsibility for implementing and following store policies and practices.

The position works 2:00 p.m. to close, with workdays varying on a rotating three-week schedule and an expected 45-hour workweek. Compensation is $18.50–$19.00 per hour, with an annually stated range of $50,500–$55,500. The role reports to the Store Manager. A criminal background check and job-fit assessment are required during onboarding.

Requirements

• Two years of experience.
• Retail management experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Customer focus and a strong work ethic with high standards for integrity.
• Positive approach to training, developing, and interacting with all levels of the store team.
• Ability to adapt to customer and employee needs and changing store conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership team members.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teach, coach, and provide leadership to store crew members.
• Maximize store sales through customer satisfaction and food quality.
• Oversee daily operations of the food service function, grocery market, and fountain sales.
• Monitor inventory and supply levels, kitchen equipment, safety, and cleanliness as needed.
• Share responsibility for ensuring store policies and practices are implemented and followed.
• Build an environment of trust and identify effective team alignment to enhance performance.
• Follow up and follow through with discipline, initiate action, and achieve goals.
• Review, understand, and analyze reporting results.
