About The Position

Braum's is hiring an Assistant Manager to help execute the company's brand strategy and promote its vision, mission, and values while providing a great customer experience and maximizing sales. The role provides leadership to store crew members and supports the team in achieving unit goals. The Assistant Manager oversees daily operations of the food service function, grocery market, and fountain sales. The position shares responsibility for implementing and following store policies and practices, and for monitoring inventory, supplies, kitchen equipment, safety, and cleanliness as needed. The schedule is 2:00 p.m. to close, with workdays varying on a rotating three-week schedule and an expected 45-hour workweek. The Assistant Manager reports to the Store Manager. Compensation is $18.50–$19.00 per hour, stated as approximately $51,000–$54,500 annually. The bonus program is paid bi-weekly.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience.
Retail management experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Customer focus.
Strong work ethic and high standards for integrity.
Positive approach to training, developing, and interacting with all levels of the store team.
Ability to adapt to customer and employee needs and changing store conditions.
Ability to communicate effectively with leadership team members.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow practices and procedures.
A criminal background check and job-fit assessment are required as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

Teach, coach, and provide leadership to store crew members.
