About The Position

Braum’s Assistant Managers execute the company’s brand strategy and promote its vision, mission, and values to deliver a strong customer experience and maximize sales. They support the store team by recognizing and strengthening employees’ contributions toward unit goals. The role oversees daily food service, grocery market, and fountain sales operations, and shares responsibility for implementing and following store policies and practices. The position has an expected 45-hour workweek, with workdays varying on a rotating three-week schedule and a shift of 2:00 pm to close. The Assistant Manager reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

Two years of experience.
Retail management experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver license.
Customer focus and a strong work ethic with a high standard for integrity.
A positive approach to training, developing, and interacting with all levels of the store team.
Ability to build a successful team and an environment of trust.
Ability to adapt to customer and employee needs and store conditions.
Ability to communicate effectively with leadership team members.
Ability to identify effective team alignment to enhance performance.
Disciplined follow-up and follow-through; ability to initiate action and achieve goals.
Organization, attention to detail, and ability to follow practices and procedures.
Ability to review, understand, and analyze reporting results.
Criminal background check and job-fit assessment are required as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

Teach, coach, and provide leadership to store crew members.
Maximize store sales through customer satisfaction and food quality.
Oversee daily operations of the food service function, grocery market, and fountain sales.
Monitor inventory and supply levels, kitchen equipment, safety, and cleanliness as needed.
Help ensure that store policies and practices are implemented and followed.
