About The Position

Sparkle Express Car Wash is seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager to support daily site operations, develop team members, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and drive membership sales and site performance. The role is based at the East Peoria, Illinois location and offers $18 per hour plus commission. The Assistant Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, lead by example, take initiative, and support the Site Manager. Paid training, ongoing development, and potential career growth toward Site Manager and broader operations leadership roles are offered.

Requirements

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience in retail, hospitality, food service, car wash operations, or customer service.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and motivate others.
• A customer-first mindset and confidence handling guest concerns.
• Comfort promoting services and working toward sales targets.
• Reliability, initiative, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• A hands-on approach and a commitment to accountability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with daily operations and ensure shifts run smoothly.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver excellent service.
• Promote memberships and help the team achieve sales goals.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and maintain a positive guest experience.
• Oversee opening and closing duties, deposits, and operational checklists.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and site organization.
