About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires the ability to communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, process orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen, follow written instructions, handle monetary change, and navigate to delivery addresses and sites, including multi-story buildings and other challenging terrain. The listed starting rate is $17–$19 per hour, plus bonus. Benefits include a 401(k) plan, health insurance for full-time positions, and bonus eligibility for management roles.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by phone to process orders.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
- Ability to deliver products by car.
