About The Position

The Assistant Manager is a critical member of the restaurant Leadership Team, coaching and developing team members and working with the Restaurant Operating Partner to manage restaurant success. The role helps deliver made-to-order menu items and a distinctive combination of fun, food, and hospitality.

Assistant Managers support daily operations and help achieve objectives measured by key performance indicators, including sales, guest count, profitability, hospitality, safety and cleanliness, food costs, and labor costs. They train and develop team members so shifts run smoothly, with a focus on speed of service, hospitality, safety, and cleanliness. They also contribute to recruiting and retaining team members through effective leadership, coaching, and recognition.

The Assistant Manager helps set a positive tone for the restaurant, creating an environment where guests receive exceptional hospitality and high-quality, made-to-order food, and where team members enjoy working.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Prior restaurant and/or hospitality experience.
• Hospitality focus and strong communication skills.
• Ability to help build a team and mentor team members for success.
• Ability to learn new skills and a self-starting personality.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and manners.
• Availability to work a variety of hours, including days, nights, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in operations, management, inventory, scheduling, or guest relations; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily restaurant operations and work with the Restaurant Operating Partner to manage the restaurant.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members.
• Train team members to help shifts run smoothly and meet service, hospitality, safety, and cleanliness expectations.
• Help achieve restaurant objectives and key performance indicators, including sales, guest count, profitability, hospitality, safety, cleanliness, food costs, and labor costs.
• Contribute to recruiting and retaining team members through effective leadership and coaching.
• Recognize team members for good work.
• Help create a welcoming guest experience and a positive workplace culture.
