About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a full- or part-time Hourly Assistant Manager who is passionate about food quality, customer service, and community. The role leads a team serving scratch-baked breads and pastries, soups, salads, and sandwiches made with whole ingredients. The Assistant Manager demonstrates resilience through leadership tasks such as scheduling and inventory while maintaining consistent customer service; collaborates respectfully with management teams and customers by listening to feedback and helping remove obstacles; and supports team building, development, and career growth. The position requires open availability and is available at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe locations, which are closed every Sunday and on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of fast-paced restaurant or retail leadership experience.
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation regulations.
• Experience meeting operational goals and finding ways to improve experiences for teams and customers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have open availability.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment, ingredients, and supplies.
• Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting.
