About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also includes delivering products by car to customers’ doors and delivering flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurately and quickly performing basic arithmetic, making correct monetary change, processing orders verbally and in writing, entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen, and communicating with customers and co-workers by phone and in person. The role involves navigating the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
