About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, handling monetary change, communicating with customers and coworkers by phone and in person, entering orders using a keyboard or touchscreen, and understanding and providing written instructions. It also requires motor coordination for fast, precise movements and the ability to navigate delivery areas, read maps, locate addresses, and carry products across varied terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes.
Requirements
- Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
- Make correct monetary change.
- Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Have motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Comprehend and provide correct written instructions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders in person and over the phone.
- Navigate delivery areas and locate addresses using a map.
- Navigate adverse terrain while carrying products.
