About The Position

The Assistant Manager helps operate Par Mar Stores on a day-to-day basis, assisting the Store Manager to ensure every shift operates smoothly. The role also supports local store marketing to help achieve sales and profit goals and helps team members through performance and training initiatives. The Assistant Manager provides leadership to the store and its employees and supports efficient, effective sales and profit growth.

Requirements

A desire to succeed and grow with the company.
Strong people-oriented leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Customer service skills.
Valid state driver’s license and an insured vehicle.
Prior knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines.
Ability to traverse all parts of the store quickly.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods on a hard-surfaced floor.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of retail experience.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous retail management preferred.
