About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Division Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations across logistics, inventory, purchasing, and compliance functions. This role is responsible for driving process improvements, coordinating team activities, and ensuring that operations run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards. Based in Kauai, this position plays a key role in supporting the island's unique operational and delivery needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (5–7 years in operations, logistics, or a related field).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop practical solutions.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license required.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • 5–7 years in operations, logistics, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Division Manager with daily operational oversight across all assigned functional areas.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly logistics and delivery schedules to ensure timely service to all Kauai production and distribution locations.
  • Plan and coordinate the acquisition of supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary to support operations.
  • Ensure all purchasing policies, procedures, and vendor compliance requirements are current and consistently followed.
  • Create and maintain vendor records, purchase requests, purchase orders, receiving logs, and shipping records.
  • Track and coordinate the movement of inventory, finished goods, and raw materials on a daily basis.
  • Verify physical inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and spot checks.
  • Review and process invoices, billing documentation, and purchase authorizations accurately and on time.
  • Oversee the performance of third-party material handling and logistics service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, environmental, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, monitor performance metrics, and implement improvements.
  • Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as directed by management.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and order issues in coordination with the Division Manager.
  • Perform physical warehouse duties as needed, including lifting, operating a forklift, and using a pallet jack.
  • Maintain fleet and delivery vehicle documentation, including insurance certificates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
