About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, top-line-sales-driven, profitable, and productive store. The role inspires and motivates associates, supports a customer-focused selling culture, ensures execution of store KPIs, and holds employees accountable for following policies and procedures. The Assistant Manager may serve as floor supervisor as needed and supports customer experience, store operations, visual standards, merchandise flow, and associate development. This is a part-time position requiring availability for 20–40 hours per week, including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.

Requirements

Passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent time-management skills.
Proficiency in math and strong computer skills.
Ability to work 20–40 hours per week and a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Frequently sit or stand for long periods and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
Required vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly talk or hear; frequently sit, stand, walk, handle or feel objects, reach, twist, or squat.

Responsibilities

Ensure team members deliver an engaging, positive, authentic, and customer-focused experience.
Handle customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures, attempt to resolve issues, and escalate as appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and stockroom.
Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the customer experience.
Serve as floor supervisor as needed, including covering breaks and non-peak periods.
Hold self and others accountable for completing operational tasks.
Coach associates and provide performance feedback; recognize and reward outstanding performance.
Direct associates to ensure they understand company directives and standards.
Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
Support and execute visual directives and maintain company visual standards.
Drive efficiency in store operational processes.
Maintain merchandise flow, replenishment, and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom.
Ensure associates follow company policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
Represent the PacSun brand through passion for products, brands, fashion, and trends.
Model company values and conduct; encourage associate feedback and interaction.
Develop cross-functional partnerships and contribute to collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent.
Serve as a PacSun advocate in the industry and marketplace.
