About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the department manager in leading the Active & Dresses department at Nordstrom’s Menlo Park location. The role focuses on achieving sales and productivity goals, developing a successful sales team, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and maintaining merchandising and inventory standards. The position is commission-based and may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. The listed annual pay range is $48,000 to $64,000; actual offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Selling employees may also receive commission based on merchandise sold.

Requirements

Track record of successful results, such as strong productivity and personal trade.
Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed in a commission-based environment.
Ability to set and achieve sales goals.
Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with department and store managers, divisional retail merchandisers, and other leaders.
Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
