Assistant Infant Teacher
About The Position
The Goddard School is hiring assistant teachers to support early childhood education in a safe, dynamic, and nurturing learning environment. The school provides an educational experience for children from six weeks to six years old, using academically endorsed methods to help children learn while having fun and prepare for success in school and life. Assistant teachers work with the lead teacher and the wider faculty, with support from directors, including planning or resource time. Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Empathy and compassion for young children.
- Dependability and adaptability, and the ability to work together toward a common goal.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children, facilitating programs, ensuring child safety, and potential emergency situations.
- For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, ability to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with children.
