About The Position

The Assistant in Training (AIT) supports the Store Manager and Leadership Team in creating the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for Guests. The role combines sales, merchandising, store operations, teammate recruitment and development, and leadership. The AIT helps train and motivate Teammates and acts as Store Manager in the Store Manager’s absence. The Assistant Manager role is a progression from AIT and adds higher-level duties, though most responsibilities are shared. The position includes customer service and sales, developing Guest relationships, meeting sales goals, coaching Teammates, recruiting and training staff, maintaining visual standards, and carrying out operational and administrative tasks. The role may involve covering other stores in the district based on business needs. Pay is estimated at $18–$22 per hour, including base pay plus sales commission where applicable; actual offers depend on factors such as skills, experience, location, and qualifications. The position regularly takes place in a retail store with a usually moderate noise level. Teammates must be able to perform the listed physical duties, including standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and lifting and maneuvering up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodations where applicable. A high school diploma or GED is required, or one to three months of related retail experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
