Assistant Home Supervisor
About The Position
This role is with a family-oriented company that provides services to adults with intellectual and developmental challenges in their homes and community, assisting them in daily routines and recreational activities. Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years old.
- One year of relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement in an adult residential facility.
- A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving your personal vehicle to and from various community locations either independently or with other team members and/or Individuals.
- If a company vehicle is available for use, one must also be 21 years of age.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Back-up the Home Supervisor by providing guidance, mentoring, assistance, and support to staff.
- Ensure the health, safety, and successful achievement of the Individuals’ personal goals as outlined in their Individual Service Plan.
- Ensure the team collaborates on the cleanliness, safety, and security aspects of the home.
- Assist on medication administration, documentation, and storage.
- Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings.
- Take ownership of own behaviors and help coach others in demonstrating the company’s C.A.R.E. values.
- Receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Be recognized for personal and team contributions and for demonstrating the C.A.R.E. values.
