About The Position

This role is with a family-oriented company that provides services to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults in their homes and community, assisting them in daily routines and recreational activities. The company values consistency, curiosity, caring, and coaching in its employees.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years old.
• One year of relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement in an adult residential facility.
• A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving your personal vehicle to and from various community locations either independently or with other team members and/or Individuals.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
• If a company vehicle is available for use, one must also be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Back-up the Home Supervisor by providing guidance, mentoring, assistance, and support to the staff to ensure the health, safety, and successful achievement of the Individuals’ personal goals as outlined in their Individual Service Plan.
• Ensure that the team collaborates on the cleanliness, safety, and security aspects of the home.
• Assist on medication administration, documentation, and storage.
• Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings.
• Take ownership of your own behaviors, and help coach others in how to effectively demonstrate the company’s C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).
• Receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback and be recognized for personal and team contributions in addition to demonstrating the C.A.R.E. values.
