About The Position

The Assistant Home Supervisor (AHS) II at Seneca Place Home, under the direction of the Home Supervisor (HS), is primarily responsible for performing direct care and support duties within the home. This involves working directly with individuals to teach daily living skills, ensure client safety, and uphold consumer rights, all while adhering to policies and regulations from various governing bodies. Secondarily, the AHS supports the Home Supervisor by assisting with various operational, administrative, and staff management tasks as time and resources permit.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in the human services or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct care/support duties, teaching daily living skills, assuring client safety, and protecting consumer rights.
  • Implement all policies, procedures, guidelines, and legal commitments to consumers.
  • Maintain professional contact with guardians, parents, CSMs, PCPs, RNs, and other clinical staff.
  • Coordinate and attend medical appointments, taking a lead role.
  • Communicate changes in medical supports or prescriptions to RCAs.
  • Check medications into the home monthly.
  • Order medical and pharmacy resupplies in a timely manner.
  • Share On-Call duties with the Home Supervisor.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the Culture of Gentleness.
  • Assure Community Engagement/Inclusion for all residents.
  • Perform primary food shopping.
  • Monitor food and supply inventory.
  • Assure routine maintenance of vehicles and lifts.
  • Note, order, and monitor home maintenance and repair needs.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Support staff scheduling and assure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and development of staff.
  • Document staff performance issues, including Performance Reports.
  • Participate in staff Performance Evaluations and personnel actions as directed by the Home Supervisor.
  • Model Culture of Gentleness in home and workforce management.
