Assistant General Manager - Azzip Pizza Evansville West
About The Position
Azzip Pizza’s Assistant General Manager partners with the store General Manager to achieve store performance goals. The role is hands-on, leads shifts, and serves as the primary point of responsibility for the store when the GM is not present. The AGM works with the GM to develop, communicate, and execute strategies for meeting store goals, while directly leading shifts and serving customers. The AGM helps ensure high standards for pizza quality, customer service, and dining-room cleanliness. Starting pay is $19.90 or more per hour, including $16.90 per hour base pay and a $3 per hour tip guarantee. The role also includes paid time off, a free pizza every shift, and health care benefits. Development and growth opportunities are available; 90% of current Azzip General Managers began as hourly Azzip team members.
Requirements

- Flexibility to work at least 30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example through hands-on pizza making, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized restaurant.
- Teach and coach employees to follow Azzip standards for ingredient preparation, pizza making, and customer service.
- Support the GM with hiring and building a strong bench of team members and shift leaders.
- Open and close the store efficiently and effectively when needed.
- Communicate and resolve customer and employee concerns, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Work with the GM to meet goals for food, payroll, and other controllable costs.
- Place nightly and weekly vendor orders.
- Create a fun work environment by maintaining a positive attitude and encouraging others to do the same.
- Help develop, communicate, and execute strategies for meeting store goals.
- Directly lead shifts and serve customers while upholding standards for pizza quality, customer service, and dining-room cleanliness.
